Muslim Kills Adulterous Daughter. Man Goes Free

Islamic customs die hard, even in democracy planting
Afghanistan
where civil minds are attempting to wipe out "honor killings"
among Muslims.
A father killed his daughter. She was found in a
house with a man other than her husband. The man involved in the twosome
was beaten and then let go. He was beaten to show the youth of the
community that he acted improperly. However, apparently the father slaying
his daughter was not immoral, criminal or outrageous. The father got by
with murder. The man got by with adultery. The woman got killed.
According to the Associated Press report from
Kabul
, an Afghan father snuffed out the life of his daughter for
"allegedly committing adultery."
The father concluded his daughter was housed up in a
building with a man; therefore the father had the house locked so that his
daughter could not escape. "Karim's father had spied the couple,
locked them in the house and called people from the village to witness
their supposed crime."
When she was brought under his custody, the father
did away with her. This "punishment (is) allowed under Islamic law
and more commonly reported under the former Taliban government."
As the man in the adulterous affair still lives,
tending to his wounds, there is no future for the female. Females,
according to some Muslims, are conceived with ten curses on their lives.
The curse is defined as exposing the genitals ten times over. If the
female marries, one curse is deleted while the other nine still are
exposed.
If a female disgraces her household in any fashion, a
male may do away with her. The male may even imagine that a disgrace has
taken place. Even if imagined, the killing can take place in order to
retain the "honor" of the family. This is referred to among
Muslims as "honor killing."
Though there are some Muslims who deny that this
exists, they are wrong. These are sheltered Muslims who are in denial
concerning the dark side of their religion. It does exist. It is reported
in some media though at other times the media may sideline it altogether
in order not to bring attention to "honor killing."
"’With the fundamentalists and the hardline
mullahs who are in that area, these things are not impossible,’ Shah
Jahan Noori, the provincial police chief, told The Associated Press."
