Example of war between America and Vietnam  

We know that America was once at war with Vietnam . Suppose the President of America or the General of the American Army told the American soldiers during the war: "Wherever you find the Vietnamese, kill them". Today if I say that the American President said, "Wherever you find Vietnamese, kill them" without giving the context, I will make him sound like a butcher. But if I quote him in context, that he said it during a war, it will sound very logical, as he was trying to boost the morale of the American soldiers during the war.

Similarly in Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 5 the Qur’an says, "Kill the Mushriqs where ever you find them", during a battle to boost the morale of the Muslim soldiers. What the Qur’an is telling Muslim soldiers is, don’t be afraid during battle; wherever you find the enemies kill them.  

If any president of America says such thing in any war he should be tried as war criminal. Even the Vietnam War that went so wrong and so much abuse took place; the intent was not to kill Vietnamese wherever they are found. This insanity only could occur to Muhammad and his benighted followers. Americans went there thinking they are defending the government from the communist take over. They went to help and protect the people not to kill Vietnamese wherever they find them. Yes many abuses were committed, but at no time those were the intent of the people of America . I heard this prefabricated response a hundred times and all it shows is the inability of Muslims to distinguish right from wrong. They try to justify an evil action of Muhammad with a false hypothesis.

Now let us say the a government, not America, but a truly demonic regime like Hitler ordered his soldiers to kill, say the Jews, wherever they are found. Okay, so Muhammad was not the only one who said it. But Hitler is a monster. No one follows that fiend. Muslims are following as a prophet of God. Here lies the insanity of Muslims.

critics jump  from verse 5 to verse 7

critics of Islam quotes the same verse, Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 5 After quoting verse 5 they jumps to verse 7 of Surah Taubah. Any sensible person will realise that he has skipped verse 6.

Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 6 gives the answer
Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 6 gives the answer to the allegation that Islam promotes violence, brutality and bloodshed. It says:  
"If one amongst the Pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of Allah; and then escort him to where he can be secure that is because they are men without knowledge."   [Al-Qur’an 9:6]

The Qur’an not only says that a Mushriq seeking asylum during the battle should be granted refuge, but also that he should be escorted to a secure place. In the present international scenario, even a kind, peace-loving army General, during a battle, may let the enemy soldiers go free, if they want peace. But which army General will ever tell his soldiers, that if the enemy soldiers want peace during a battle, don’t just let them go free, but also escort them to a place of security?   

This is exactly what Allah (swt) says in the Glorious Qur’an to promote peace in the world.  

I already explained the meaning of this verse. The context of the verse is not in any battle. As I said this sura was issued when Muhammad had already conquered Mecca and was the de-facto potentate of the entire Arabia . Now the pagans were in minority. He demanded that they should covert or die. He says if they ask you to save them so they can convert (so that he may hear the word of God;) then escort him to where he can be secure. This does not mean the non Muslims can remain in their faith and live happily ever after. The whole intent of this sura is to force Islam on others. Non-Muslims here are not attacking anyone. Muhammad says: if they do not fight back and surrender, don’t kill them. This is like a gangster holding a gun to your head and telling you that he wants to rape your wife; if you protest and fight you would be killed but if you cooperate then your life would be saved. This whole sura is an ultimatum to pagans. This sura does not say promote peace. it says force everyone to submit. There is no such thing as peace in Islam the way normal people understand it. There is only submission. The whole world must submit to Muhammad or face death. This is the real meaning of Islam. 

In one email you said that in many countries Islam expanded without war. Jihad has two legs, one is terror and the other is deceit. Muslims advance by both means. In Indonesia they used deceit and now they use pressure. Yesterday Muslims beheaded three Christian school girls in Poso Indonesia, just as they do in Pakistan and elsewhere. There has been also two bombings in Bali. These are tactics to intimidate the Christians, make life unbearable for them, kill them or force them into conversion.
