Why Islamic Societies Suffer?

Why Islamic societies have large-scale suffering? What lies in the collective subconscious of Muslims? Why do Muslims export their suffering to others by such means as terror?
Islamists think that this suffering is because of evil in this world that is segregated from Allah who represents goodness. Evil is represented by another force called Satan.

Logically speaking, this would mean that this Satan has an independent role from the Allah. Then there are really two independent and sovereign authorities in the universe and there is no question of good ever winning over evil or vice-versa. Why should independent and all powerful Satan ever yield? He is independent of Allah after all. In that case, there are really two Allahs. But since quran says that there is only one Allah, then Allah and satan have to be coterminous, and two sides of the same coin!

Islamic social setup is based wholly on fear--like fear of hell, fear of Allah`s retribution, fear of Satan etc. There is fear in its very foundation, it is fear-oriented from A to Z.?This fear does not allow Muslims to step out of age-old limitations imposed on them by Islamic injunctions. And they never think of what a mess they have made of their lives and livings, extending this mess to the societies at large in which they live in. Fear of what is going to happen after life prevents them from taking any new steps forward, and thus they refuse to see their actual state of affairs. Because if they see what their reality is, they will be compelled to change the old for new; for the old is so rotten. But the fear fetters their feet and they go on dragging with the old beliefs and customs firmly rooted in quran.

Even if you exhort a Muslim to see light of the day, quit the dark, quranic way of thinking, which is antiquated and evil by modern standards, high chances are that you may not meet with success. It is as if we ask a bird in a cage to fly into the open sky and it says that it is so secure in its cage, whereas freedom of sky will create so many problems for it. If Muslims dare make a change, new set of problems on account of free thoughts are bound to arise, it is but natural. And so far as the caged bird is concerned, its difficulties will be enormous, because it has no experience of flying in the vast sky. Yet a choice has to be made. Granted that there is security in the cage, but what worth is this security in comparison with the freedom and ecstasy of flying in the open sky? If you think of such security, then grave is the most secure place on earth. That is what Muslims are doing, digging graves for themselves and in the process for others as well. Life is a schedule of quranic duties for Muslims, which has really become a burden, a drag on them.

In fact, life is really a great feast, a celebration, if you look at life in the free societies of the world which are free from such dead social dogmas as quranic injunctions. The work carried out by such life is superb in quality, it has flavor of celebration. That is why free societies are able to achieve scientific advancements and technical progress on their own grit.

Obsession with quran has taken away the moments of real celebration from muslims, they have been deprived of the excitement and thrill that comes with life’s celebration. Culmination of islam is Taliban-like society, where nobody is happy and cheerful, nobody really blossoms. Only thrill in such a society is public punishments and executions by way of gruesome islamic order. That is why suffering has become badge of Islamic culmination. A world full of islam has become warring and restless world, a sorry, suffering world.

Science tells us that that there was big bang some 4 billion years ago. All beings in this universe came after that big bang. This would mean that there can only be one primal energy in the universe, and everything has to arise from this single primeval source. In other words, it is the same energy that brings forth healthy and diseased fruit on the branches of a tree. It is not necessary to have separate sources of energy for the two--the healthy and the sick one. Further extension of this is that it is the same mind that gives rise to both good and evil, two minds are not required. Good and evil are different transformations of the same energy like day and night. What quran does is to make the mind evil, turn a normal person into a terrorist by exhorting him to emulate Muhammad, the first Islamic terrorist. Such individuals lead to whole societies turning sick, moribund, and suffering.

It is not difficult to discover the remedy to this suffering. First and foremost, it is absurd to compartmentalize good and evil in terms of Allah and Satan. Whatever you may like to call it, it is eventually the same common force. If you embrace irrational, unreasonable, illogical, barbaric thinking, which in other words can be termed as quranic way of thinking, there can be no escape from suffering because it will engulf your being as a whole and manifest in all your actions. Expunge this thinking; discard it totally and completely in one go, replace it with compassion of heart and logic of mind, and it is beginning of a new dawn.
