- July 19: Protesters gather outside a hotel in Oak Lawn, Ill., as an Islamic extremist group held its first official conference Sunday on U.S. soil.
Protesters gathered outside a Chicago-area hotel Sunday as an Islamic extremist group reportedly linked to Al Qaeda held a conference in an attempt to step up Western recruitment efforts.
Roughly 500 members of Hizb ut-Tahrir — a global Sunni network with reported ties to confessed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Al Qaeda in Iraq's onetime leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi — met inside a Hilton hotel in Oak Lawn, Ill., to host "The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam."
Hizb ut-Tahrir insists that it does not engage in terrorism. The organization is not recognized by the State Department as a known terror group. Its supporters, however, blasted capitalism while calling for a rise of Islam during Sunday's conference.
"Free market, organization, capitalization — all has failed and brought disaster to America," said one of the group's speakers.

Dozens of protesters outside the hotel — many of whom held American flags — shouted as attendees left the conference late Sunday. No arrests had been made.
"This is America," the protesters said. "If you don't like it in America, go home!"
Despite the charged rhetoric, Hizb ut-Tahrir insists that it condemns terrorism "by all means," spokesman Mohammad Malkawi told reporters Sunday.
"It is not in our dictionary," Malkawi said. "We condemn it by all means … From our perspective, our records are clean on this issue."
Malkawi said the group had "never indulged in recruiting" jihadists.
"Our action is the other way around," he continued. "We do not train them for violence or for jihad … Our objective is to create an Islamic state of khalifah in the Muslim world."
But some terrorism experts say Hizb ut-Tahrir may be even more dangerous than many groups that are on the State Departrment's terror list.
"Hizb ut-Tahrir is one of the oldest, largest indoctrinating organizations for the ideology known as jihadism," Walid Phares, director of the Future of Terrorism Project at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told FOXNews.com.
Phares said that Hizb ut-Tahrir, rather than training members to carry out terrorist acts like Al Qaeda, focuses instead on indoctrinating youths between ages of 9 and 18 to absorb the ideology that calls for the formation of an empire — or "khilafah" — that will rule according to Islamic law and condones any means to achieve it, including militant jihad.
Hizb ut-Tahrir often says that its indoctrination "prepares the infantry" that groups like Al Qaeda take into battle, Phares said.
"It's like a middle school that prepares them to be recruited by the high school, which is Al Qaeda," he said. "One would compare them to Hitler youth. ... It's an extremely dangerous organization."
Phares said Hizb ut-Tahrir has strongholds in Western countries, including Britain, France and Spain, and clearly is looking to strengthen its base in the U.S.
"The aim of this conference is to recruit within the Muslim community in America," he said. "The Middle East governments go after them, but in the U.S. they are protected, so having a base here is going to help their cells around the world."
Oren Segal, director of Islamic Affairs for the Anti-Defamation League, said the conference is cause for concern.
"While they're not, for the most part, engaging in violent activities, and they publicly say that they're against violence, there have been examples around the world where people who have spun off of this group have engaged in violent activity," Segal told FOXNews.com. "That's why they're banned in several Arab and Central Asian countries, as well as Germany and Russia."
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is one of the group's most famous alumni, New Statesman journalist Shiv Malik reported, citing intelligence sources. In addition to plotting the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, he also is implicated in the World Trade Center bombing of 1993, the Bali nightclub bombings and the murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

As I recall, recently a large hotel chain, on its own initiative, made a last minute cancellation of an event to be held at one of its hotels because of islamafascists' complaints against the event. Geert Wilders was to speak at that conference on radical islam. Yet are these terrorists allowed to meet and promote their terrorism in a similar setting, unimpeded? This is sickening and completely antiAmerican. I will hold Obama and his minions responsible over the next four years for any more of this type of antiAmerican trash.
This could not happen if our government did not support this behavior.

Mohammad made a fool of his followers is understandable. But, Muslims preach Mohammad's lies is preposterous.
Quran is the proof that Mohammad and Allah alternate roles as it suited Mohammad to control his followers and impress his critics. Mohammad after all, was a ruler, a general to his army. Mohammad did everything to gain control of lands, people and their properties and women. Mohammad used every trick to achieve his goal. He added divine cause for his actions and announced that he was a prophet of Allah. His people became his followers.
Thus, every Muslim worships Mohammad and calls him Allah. When bona fide of this Allah are brought under scrutiny, Mohammad comes to the rescue of Allah and when Mohammad's credentials are questioned Quran says "Allah's prophet"!

So, their name is Hizb-Ut-Tahrir (HUT) and they aim for a Khilafah (new Kaliphate). I suppose worldwide.
I suppose these guys think global. I think we should follow their example and aim for global: Education, rational thinking, free information, broad political interest by a big enough part of the people, then global democracy. In such a scheme we might well highly tolerate them, but how will they in their scheme tolerate us?
In this Khilafah HUT envisions Islamic laws to prevail. I think a Khilafa would be a bit like Iran + Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, with power for the chosen few, ruling over the subservient ignorant (as they see it) masses. Somehow they see a world, with many, many people and a state-organisation, which has .... what? - A religious elite who rules, supposedly supported by military forces and police. And a great many people whom they presumably would like to be all-Islamic, or maybe predominantly Islamic, while the non-Islamic population are dhimmi's, probably even paying Jizya.
What if they only were an Islamic party, that chose to try to reach its goals only through democratic means? That would mean endorsing eternally regular fair elections and only implementing laws through parliament. In this way there role would be to try to convert and convince as many people as possible, peacefully, democratically, and to keep a majority of people in the state they operate in in favor of them. Such a democratic attitude of them would be acceptable to most people. But we suspect that they want to implement this Khilafah, then suspend with democracy altogether. That they are headed for domination of a chosen few over the subservient many.
Or, what If they want a Khilafah with Shariah installed and it is possible to do so in some places, where all people can go and stay voluntarily? Able to leave when they like. This is what some Christian sects tried to establish in Europe and America in the past. If voluntary migrating in and out of such an ideal society would be guaranteed, most people would accept its existence. But we suspect that they eventually want to subjugate and indoctrinate people in both Islamic countries and currently democratic (non-subservient-mentality) countries. We have good reasons for our suspicions.
To Kabirlaw I say: What about the fact that Holyman is from Arabic origine? Isn't that really unimportant? I mean there should never be compulsion of religion, we think, not even from parents or people who come from the same country. People's looks are determined by their genes, but people's faiths should be determined by their own choices, not by their origine, or who his parents, loved ones and fellow country-men are.
So why do you say to him:

He does not have to have any excuse for that at all! And even if he understands Allah's message he can still choose to follow all sorts of other messages, we think.
