It is Official: Muslims Re-interpret the Quran!

Sheikh Youssef Alqardawi is probably the most famous Muslim scholar in the Arab world. He is one of the most influential and highest ranking Islamic scholars and sits on many Islamic committees. He is a rich celebrity and has a reputation of being a moderate Muslim scholar who promotes moderate and science friendly Islam. His reputation is not blemished by his support to Hamas and other radical Islamic organizations and the suicide bombing that kills civilians and children. As would be expected, Alqardawi is a top ranking member of the Muslim brotherhood.
The Arabs believe that sheikh Alqardawi is a devout Muslim who follows the example of his prophet. This devotion was put to practice when the old man, over eighty years now, got married to an Algerian girl named Asma, when she was only seventeen years old, and reportedly younger than his granddaughter. Unlike Mohammed, our sheikh was not endowed with the sexual power of forty men, so he had to rely on that blue pill made by the infidels and much consumed by the Arab sheikhs. Only Allah knows what happened between our sheikh and his young wife, because recently they had a divorce. Of course, a sheikh in his position doesn't speak about his private life, but these are the news that has been circulating about him in the Middle East.
Alqardawi is an Egyptian who lives in Qatar and appears on Al Jazeera's weekly programm 'sharia and life' where he discusses issues related to Islam and answers some of the questions put to him, through phone calls, by his audience. On his latest appearance on Aljazeera, on the 22 February 2009, Alqardawi rejected the evolution theory because the Quran says otherwise, which is the standard Islamic answer (1). He reassured his audience that Muslims do not need to worry about the evolution theory as long as it remains a theory, only if it becomes a recognized scientific fact that the Muslim scholars would reinterpret the relevant verses in the Quran to bring them in line with proven scientific facts. "This not unprecedented in Islam" admitted Alqardawi as he explained how early interpretations of the Quran referred to Earth as flat, but when a globe Earth became a scientific fact, Muslim scholars reinterpreted the verses by changing their meanings! In fact, the programm host referred to some existing reinterpretations made by Muslims who claim that the Quran agrees with science, which Alqardawi neither ruled out nor endorsed. His position was: it is too early for that, we are still safe!
Reinterpretation means changing the meaning of the verses completely; the same verses that currently mean the evolution theory is wrong would mean, after reinterpretation, that it is correct! The next step for Muslims is to claim the Quran told us about the evolution thirteen hundreds years before Darwin- another Quranic miracle!
What a Quran and what a religion! What is the point in claiming the Quran is the unchanged word of Allah if ordinary humans can change the meaning of that word as they please? And they claim Islam is divine! What is a manmade religion if Islam is not?
Of course, Alqardawi is not with us to answer this question, but his answer would be that they only change the meaning of verses on scientific issues, not on religious issues. Muslim scholars know that Islam has been selling well recently, to both Muslims and potential converts, because of the claim that the Quran contains scientific miracles. In a 'scientific climate' like that, it would be inappropriate to discover that Islam contradicts science on other issues.
Alqardawi's outrageous answer did not look that way to his Muslim audience; on the contrary they accepted it as a logical response. This is hardly surprising since Muslims have been practicing the principle of reinterpretation whenever they find an error in the Quran. Alqardawi's answer, and the Muslims' response to it, confirms what we have been saying all the time about the Muslims' defence of the Quran. They bury their heads in the sand to avoid looking at the painful conclusion that the Quran is faulty. They shamelessly reinterpret the Quran by twisting the language and changing the meanings of the words or even introducing completely new meanings. From the Muslims' point of view, the only thing that cannot be changed is their assumption that 'the Quran is correct even when it is wrong'.
Alqardawi's answer reminded me with a similar answer I heard from a Muslim 'intellectual' many years ago. That Muslim claimed that there is scientific evidence that honey helps to cure most diseases, which supports a Quranic claim (2) made fourteen hundreds years ago. I asked that 'intellectual' what would be his position if science proves that honey has no healing power at all, and whether, in that hypothetical scenario, he would accept that the Quran is wrong. "No" he said loudly and clearly, and went on to explain what he would do "the Quran is never wrong, but should such a scenario ever happens, I would consider alternative meaning for the word 'shifa' (which is Arabic for cure)"
This explains why debating Muslims can be a waste of time and energy simply because they do not have the free minds necessary for objectivity. They cannot follow a logical protocol in their debates because they already committed themselves to that fixed conclusion that the Quran is correct. It is sad that many Muslims are not even aware of this level of inanity they have reached for the sake of defending an erroneous book. When normal people read a book with errors and contradictions, they simply conclude it is an erroneous book and no chance for it being divine. But when those people happen to be Muslims and the book happens to be the Quran, they keep reinterpreting the text until they imagine there are no errors, and then they conclude the book is divine!
The following is an example of the Islamic way in understanding the Quran: The Quran says in many verses that the earth is flat; it used all the available Arabic vocabulary and language expressions to confirm that statement.- If, hypothetically, scientists discover that the earth is truly flat: Muslims would say: This discovery is in full agreement with the Quran, which described it clearly fourteen hundreds years ago. This is a miracle!
- If, hypothetically, scientists discover that the earth is like a cube: Muslims would say: All those words used by the Quran to say flat actually describe the flat surface of the cube. This is a miracle mentioned in the Quran fourteen hundreds years ago. Muslims can find a confirmation to this claim in another place in the Quran (3). The word 'cube-like' was actually mentioned in the Quran to describe the nice firm breasts of those seventy two virgins waiting for every Muslim in paradise (as opposed to the saggy breasts of the Muslims' wives). Muslims can claim that the expression 'kawaeba atraba', meaning firm breasts, was used by the Quran to refer to the shape of the Earth and has nothing to do with tempting the Muslim men with some cheap sexual expressions.
- As long as the scientists still say that the earth is a globe, then all those words and expressions used by the Quran to describe the Earth as flat, have actually been misunderstood, because Allah meant to say "Earth appears to us flat". The word 'appear' magically disappeared but we should have the intelligence to understand what Allah meant.
And so on!
The Circle of Darkness
When Muslims say something about the Quran, by the time they finish they forget what they said in the beginning. Their argument goes in circles:
This is how they prove their claim that 'the Quran is divine': The Quran is divine because it is a perfect and error free book.
And this how they prove their claim that 'the Quran contains no errors': It is illogical to say the Quran contains errors, because it is divine and perfect.
This is what I call the Islamic circle of darkness.

Coming to the point,the only miracle of the Arabs is their arabic language.3 important points i noticed were--1)Very,very,very easy languge to speak.I picked it up in less then a year & i am not good at languages.2)Less no of alphabets,so easy to write,once u get the hang of it(.I did not go this far).3) single word has different meanings.i e the meaning differs depending on the situation,context,etc
Hence the readers are getting at what i mean.These muslims using points 2 & 3 are able to twist the meaning of the word in which ever way it is convenient to them.In the hands of islamic arab scholars it is child's play.

One of the reasons some people become non believers is that they try to comprehend the idea of an all-knowing and loving God throwing people to eternal HELL and to them it appears as sort of injustice on the God's side. Consequently, they conclude there is no God. But you guys try to think this on the second viewpoint.
Here you have people like Muhammad, Zakir Naik, AMIM, etc. Muhammad obviously knew that all his claims of being a prophet of God were totaly lies. How many people have been killed and the rest continue to suffer for his lies? Millions and billions, respectively. Another impostor Zakir Naik whom I am sure in every dimension knows everything about Muhammad, Quran and Islam everyday lies to his faithfuls. I once posted here one of his blatant lie where one guy asked him about allah's name and answered that even Jesus mentioned about allah's name on the cross. You see as a muslim he is not supposed to believe Jesus was crucified but tells his audience that Jesus spoke allah's name on the cross! Of course plus so many other lies as you may expect from typical muslim apologists.Then you have AMIM. AMIM has read all charges against muhammad, quran and islam here at FFI and elsewhere but he is still a first-grade muslim!
Now it comes to HELL. I feel convinced in my heart that there must be justice to these sort of people. I dont care whether the hell will be fiery or not but there should be some kind of "hell" for these terrorists and terrorists-in-disguise. Please dont mistake me that I'm hawkish and lack any sense of love whatsoever to wish these people hell, I am simply compelled by the sense of justice to the billions victims of allah, muhammad and muslim apologists all around the world. Khalida's father says she's
Khalida's father says she's 9—or maybe 10. As much as Sayed Shah loves his 10 children, the functionally illiterate Afghan farmer can't keep track of all their birth dates. Khalida huddles at his side, trying to hide beneath her chador and headscarf. They both know the family can't keep her much longer. Khalida's father has spent much of his life raising opium, as men like him have been doing for decades in the stony hillsides of eastern Afghanistan and on the dusty southern plains. It's the only reliable cash crop most of those farmers ever had. Even so, Shah and his family barely got by: traffickers may prosper, but poor farmers like him only subsist. Now he's losing far more than money. "I never imagined I'd have to pay for growing opium by giving up my daughter," says Shah.
The family's heartbreak began when Shah borrowed $2,000 from a local trafficker, promising to repay the loan with 24 kilos of opium at harvest time. Late last spring, just before harvest, a government crop-eradication team appeared at the family's little plot of land in Laghman province and destroyed Shah's entire two and a half acres of poppies. Unable to meet his debt, Shah fled with his family to Jalalabad, the capital of neighboring Nangarhar province. The trafficker found them anyway and demanded his opium. So Shah took his case before a tribal council in Laghman and begged for leniency. Instead, the elders unanimously ruled that Shah would have to reimburse the trafficker by giving Khalida to him in marriage. Now the family can only wait for the 45-year-old drugrunner to come back for his prize. Khalida wanted to be a teacher someday, but that has become impossible. "It's my fate," the child says.
Afghans disparagingly call them "loan brides"—daughters given in marriage by fathers who have no other way out of debt. The practice began with the dowry a bridegroom's family traditionally pays to the bride's father in tribal Pashtun society. These days the amount ranges from $3,000 or so in poorer places like Laghman and Nangarhar to $8,000 or more in Helmand, Afghanistan's No. 1 opium-growing province. For a desperate farmer, that bride price can be salvation—but at a cruel cost. Among the Pashtun, debt marriage puts a lasting stain on the honor of the bride and her family. It brings shame on the country, too. President Hamid Karzai recently told the nation: "I call on the people [not to] give their daughters for money; they shouldn't give them to old men, and they shouldn't give them in forced marriages."
All the same, local farmers say a man can get killed for failing to repay a loan. No one knows how many debt weddings take place in Afghanistan, where 93 percent of the world's heroin and other opiates originate. But Afghans say the number of loan brides keeps rising as poppy-eradication efforts push more farmers into default. "This will be our darkest year since 2000," says Baz Mohammad, 65, a white-bearded former opium farmer in Nangarhar. "Even more daughters will be sold this year." The old man lives with the anguish of selling his own 13-year-old daughter in 2000, after Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar banned poppy growing. "Lenders never show any mercy," the old man says. Local farmers say more than one debtor has been bound hand and foot, then locked into a small windowless room with a smoldering fire, slowly choking to death.
While law enforcers predict yet another record opium harvest in Afghanistan this spring, most farmers are struggling to survive. An estimated 500,000 Afghan families support themselves by raising poppies, according to the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime. Last year those growers received an estimated $1 billion for their crops—about $2,000 per household. With at least six members in the average family, opium growers' per capita income is roughly $300. The real profits go to the traffickers, their Taliban allies and the crooked officials who help them operate. The country's well-oiled narcotics machine generates in excess of $4 billion a year from exports of processed opium and heroin—more than half of Afghanistan's $7.5 billion GDP, according to the UNODC.
Efforts to promote other crops have failed. Wheat or corn brings $250 an acre at best, while poppy growers can expect 10 times that much. Besides, poppies are more dependable: hardier than either wheat or corn and more tolerant of drought and extreme heat and cold. And in a country with practically no government-funded credit for small farmers, opium growers can easily get advances on their crops. The borrower merely agrees to repay the cash with so many kilos of opium, at a price stipulated by the lender—often 40 percent or more below market value. Islam forbids charging interest on a loan, but moneylenders in poppy country elude the ban by packaging the deal as a crop-futures transaction—and never mind that the rate of return is tantamount to usury.

The impoverished parents of 16-year-old Robina Bibi in pakistan's North West Frontier Province (NWFP) had never thought of selling their daughter// , but poverty forced them to look for buyers.
It was the only option that Robina's parents - Sakeena Bibi, 40, and her husband Izat Gul, 43 - could think of to raise money to treat their five children suffering from hepatitis C.
They struck a deal with a family they claimed as their relatives for about Rs.130,000 ($2,157) to pay off their debt of Rs.50,000 ($829) and spend the remaining amount on treatment of the ailing kids.
The deal, however, fell apart after Robina too was diagnosed with hepatitis C. "I have 10 children and six of them including three girls, between 9 and 16 years of age, are now hepatitis C patients," Sakeena said.
Sakeena, who lives in remote town of Dir, said her children have been suffering from the deadly disease for the past year.
"We cannot take them to even state-run hospitals in Peshawar (NWFP's capital), or any other cities where patients are provided free consultancy but have to pay for the tests from their own pocket," Sakeena added.
Senior NWFP minister Siraj-ul-Haq also conceded that hepatitis treatment is very expensive and it costs Rs.60,000 ($995) per patient.
Haq, whose six-party Islamic alliance Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) rules NWFP, told DPA that his had set up an endowment fund and earmarked around $300,000 for treatment of poor patients.
However, he admitted that the fund was inadequate to cater to thousands of patients who cannot afford to pay for treatment of diseases like hepatitis C.
The World Health Organisation (WHO), which is cooperating with the pakistan government in controlling the disease, estimates that patients of hepatitis B and C in pakistan run into millions.

Desperate Muslim moms sell babies for $100
FIFTY-year-old Mahbuba has four sons, but she always wanted to have a daughter.
Faced with a complex adoption procedure, she decided to take the easier option - to buy a baby.
“The moment I heard that a woman in a maternity hospital was selling her newborn daughter, I rushed there,” Mahbuba said. “The woman told me she already had five children and she could not afford having another baby. I paid her $100 [£67].”
Her purchase was made 10 years ago. But buying and selling babies is still common in Tajikistan - and it all begins in maternity hospitals. Some mothers abandon their babies just days after giving birth, leaving the fate of the children in the hands of medical staff.
A young Tajik nurse described how she witnessed doctors helping a woman whose child died at birth to obtain a newborn from a different hospital.
She was not sure whether money was involved in this swap. “They just wanted to help,” said the nurse.
But in Tajikistan, such goodwill could be punished with up to eight years in prison.
In 2008, there were 13 such cases but the number of those involved in trafficking is believed to be much higher. Some 60km (37 miles) west of Dushanbe in Tursunzoda district, I met two midwives accused of selling a baby boy for $200.
They are currently on a suspended two-year sentence.
Both in their late 40s, they have been working in a maternity hospital for over 20 years.
“If only I knew,” said one of them, wiping tears from her eyes.

After the September 11
After the September 11 attacks, Yusuf Qaradawi, urging Muslims to donate blood for the victims of the attacks, stated,[53]
"Islam, the religion of tolerance, holds the human soul in high esteem, and considers the attack against innocent human beings a grave sin, this is backed by the Qur'anic verse which reads:
Who so ever kills a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he has killed all mankind, and who so ever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind," (Al-Ma'dah:32).
"The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is reported to have said, 'A believer remains within the scope of his religion as long as he doesn't kill another person illegally'"
