There comes a time in every upwardly mobile civilization`s evolution that people tend to get as broad minded as possible. That is inherent human nature to evolve to ever greater hights. It was once in India`s time when people framed maxims such as "Vasudheva Kutumbakam" (the whole earth is but one family) following which it faced perils of extinction vide Islamic brutes, who took advantage of broad thinking of natives, transplanted themselves and then dislodged the natives. (Look at Pakistan and the history of the land, nothing much to substantiate further).
The US of A is in similar boat. They have elected Obama, first sign of going downhill. The denizens of this country continue to help grow the islamic brutes in their midst only to their peril, which alas they will realize when it would be too late. I have talked to many Americans, and their world-view only proves that they will not only go down the drain themselves, but also would take several others with them.
I have my sympahthies for you Acharya, you might have thought escaping to US of A was better deal than to deal with muslims back at home in India, how sour the dream turned out!

Newton was no doubt one of the greatest mind of the world and his theory 'Every Action produces an equal and Opposite Reaction' has withstood every scenerio. Islam is such an interesting animal that, will it fail the newton's universal law. The assault of Islam against Humanity is constant. When will humanity will revolt(react)against Islam and overcome it?
Unfortunately there no leader who is president of the free western world who will take a decisive stand against this dangerous ideology of islam. Just like 'Abraham Lincon' is an immortal who abolished slavery from the US first and then the world, the president who will take a clear and truthful stand against this evil Islam will make history. That person will be the most famous and will be remembered till many millenia.

Imagine that! Sharia laws in USA... WOw!!!..a dream come true for Osama and mehsud. Atta boy Pres Obama..

All free and democratic countries should take an oarh from muslims of thier countries or outer countreis willing to visit thier countries that
--- they respect freedom of speach and expression.
---they respect and accept other religions than Islam.
---they will not preach hatred, violence and intolerence thru thier verses of so called holy book and padoefilia prophet..
---- they will not object to socio-political and religio-scientific-historical analysis of Islam.
ONLY THEN & THEN THESE MUSLIMS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO TASTE THE FRUITS OF FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY IN THIER COUNTRIES. LET IT BE KNOWN TO EVERY ONE THAT KORAN DOESNT ALLOW AND ACCEPT FREEDOM OF ENQUIRY SPEECH OR EXPRESSION OR SECULARISM OR DEMOCRACY OR FREEDOM OF THOUGHT, THEN WHY SHOULD THEY BE ALLOWED TO TAKE BENIFIT OF THESE SYSTEMS OF VIRTUES & WISDOMS?

I so hope UnderstandingIslam is not right in his prediction. My hope is among other factors on the ex-Muslims and their great expansion. They are as much motivated, driven as any Muslim and they like and want much of our systems. They are very well informed about Islam and very keen to inform us. We should follow their lead.

Also I see that science is not being idle, that information-technology ever searches forward and that education, literacy, rational thinking, huge amounts of good information are much on the rise, as is global travel. Everybody might be surprised in the coming decades about Artificial Intelligence, which keeps making great strides, according to Ray Kurzweil developing endlessly faster than us humans.

I like your proposal immensely. We should work it out properly. I am for a contract, instead of oath, or a combination. In this contract we can specify that immigrants MAY be disinterested, a-political, but not engaged in any activities, that are detrimental to our system and values. That there are certain conditions they must fulfill, abide by, if they want to live in our societies. On pain of deportation or other just ways to deal with contract-breach. And with stringent control of behavior, life-long if need be. In fact, contracts for all citizens might be comtemplated.

If we had the abovementioned contract signed or oath taken, we would be able to get rid of people who threathen or misuse our liberties, freedoms, benefits, advantages. If immigrants integrated much better, more could be allowed, but only with those contracts-oaths. Many immigrants, being totally fed up with bad governance, interfering religion, bad behavior in their original countries, would gladly sign or take the oath. And immigration would be our trump-card against radical Islam. We could allow ever more people to vote with their feet, if it worked.

The one that will destroy this world is either the fanatic one or the greed one, its fact. Islam againts democracy. US Constitution is "satanic" law according to islam, so it must be terminated. Human rights is also "satanic" rights, so it must be replaced with muslim and dhimmi rights. Isn't that right, muslim? Slim? muslim? Any answer?

Quran/Islam/Muhammad were for uplift of humanity in the spheres of temporal, moral ‎and spiritual fields. They never believed in physical supremacy. ‎

As rightly cautioned by our Hindu friend Acharya the past weekend, a fanatical Islamist ‎group, Hizb ut Tahrir,which consists of only some minority extremists and which calls ‎itself a “Global Islamic Political Party,” as stated by our Hindu friend ;they do not represent ‎Quran/Islam/Muhammad anyway. The American Government and its allies should ‎vigilantly observe that Hizb ut Tahrir cannot do any subversive activitly to implicate the ‎Islamic Religion at large. ‎

Hmmm, typical useless theory. Islam is a REAL threat to the world. It wants to conquer all nation and bring sharia law all over the world. And what happen if sharia law applied? Go look at saudi arabia or iran. May i remind you that the terrorists is just one problem out of many.

CNN was featuring Muslims in Pakistan who actually favored Democratic rules in Pakistan. One of them came from UK and was a former member of Hizb-ut-Tahrir. Please join people like that, people who can combine Islam or some form of it with Democracy, or some kind of plan to eventually reach that, all over the world.

Then we would not fear and oppose your sort of Islam, as long as your sort of Islam-movement supports our worldwide democratic ideals. And remember, Democracy is not about coercing others to submission, as mainstream Islam is, but on the contrary brings freedom and a little participation for ordinary people. Democracy is primarily meant against force. You often also sound like a democrat. In Holland we appreciate Ahmadi Muslims a lot.

The fact is ahmadi are treated like sh*t in my country. So this minorities's opinion are pretty much useless.

It would be a fine thing if Ms Murdoch actually practiced what she preached and offered free speech on her websites. Any dissenting voices are automatically censored. When she does manage to allow people to pass comment on her diatribes we might then take her seriously.

In any case, America's enemies are not Islamic - they are mostly within the very fabric of government itself. It is those forces that are undermining the constitution not some spurious group of religious nuts.
