Islam is against the Past, Present and Future

PDF versionI have been a fan of archaeology since I was a child, and I studied it formally in college as well as postgraduate school. I have excavated on two continents, including at the ancient Greek site of Corinth, where tradition has it that St. Paul addressed the Corinthians. I have also studied the archaeology of numerous other cultures and have been fascinated with the amazing treasures of the past globally, dating back many thousands of years. My love for archaeology and the knowledge of humanity's magnificent past makes the most recently publicized Islamofanatical atrocity all the more offensive—yet so distressingly typical of Islam.
Reflecting this typical hatred and intolerance of everything outside of Islam, which includes most of human culture, Muslim fanatics have been suppressing and destroying pre- and non-Islamic archaeological discoveries in several parts of the world, including most notoriously the despicable destruction of the Buddhas of Bamiyan by Islam's finest, the Taliban. Unfortunately, the war in Iraq has also caused an appalling amount of destruction of antiquities, including some of the oldest and most important artifacts so far discovered.
Saudi Arabia & Islamic Xenophobia
A recent AP article called, "Digging up the Saudi Past: Some would rather not" highlights the barbaric, xenophobic attitude held by Muslim fanatics in that nation, as exemplified in the following comment by a well-known cleric, Sheikh Mohammed al-Nujaimi:
[The artifacts] should be left in the ground... Any ruins belonging to non-Muslims should not be touched. Leave them in place, the way they have been for thousands of years.As Donna Abu-Nasr of the AP relates:
In the eyes of conservatives, the land where Islam was founded and the Prophet Muhammad was born must remain purely Muslim. Saudi Arabia bans public displays of crosses and churches, and whenever non-Islamic artifacts are excavated, the news must be kept low-key lest hard-liners destroy the finds.
While the Islamist fanatics are oppressing and destroying other peoples' cultures, they are simultaneously demanding all manner of special privileges, including exploiting European socialist countries like parasites on a host.
Fortunately, certain individuals in Saudi Arabia are attempting to soften this perverse Islamist hatred of human culture and history by bringing more attention to Arabian archaeology, instead of so viciously denying their own roots.
Join the Human Race!
It is time for truly rational, moderate Muslims to step away from the abysmal Islamist bigotry towards and intolerance of other cultures and to embrace humanity as a whole. Muslims need to distance themselves from the fanatics and stop allowing these destroyers of the past, present and future run their lives. Some years ago in a newspaper interview, an Iranian teacher, a Muslim by birth, made a challenge to the Islamofascist Republic to allow people to convert freely from Islam, estimating that millions would do so in a heartbeat, if Islam were not so insecure and tyrannical as to forbid "apostasy" upon pain of death. All Muslims of reason should issue the same challenge: Let the people go. If Islam is so great, no one will willingly leave it. As it is, Islam reminds one of the domestic abuser who beats and threatens his wife so she will be too frightened to leave him. She stays not because she loves the man but because she is terrified of him. The same can be said of Islam: It terrorizes its followers into staying.
We all share this planet, and, like it or not, the majority of us are not Muslims, and we certainly do not want to become Muslim. We love humanity's past, as a reflection of the great works human beings can produce. To leave our past buried, to cover it up or to destroy it ranks as not only utter stupidity and barbarism but also as life denying. This self-hating mentality reaches out from the grave and extends to our present and future, as Islam—ironically stuck solidly in the past as laid out by the Jewish law expounded in the Old Testament or Torah—continually reveals itself to be against most of human creation. To allow such a life-hating attitude to flourish and overcome us would be the greatest slap in the face of any Creator, if such an one were real to any degree.

Excellent, eye-opening article. There is a theory in linguistics called the Whorf-Sapir Hypothesis, which posits that we see the world through our language. I watched this process in action many times in Greece, for example. The Greek language lacks the politeness of the English language, for instance, and when speaking English native Greeks sound very rude.
Arabic sounds rude as well, with all the guttural sounds. Arabs always sound like they are shouting at everyone - another reflection of the harsh, Saharasian culture.
In consideration of everything you have written here, including the pathetic state of the average Arab being illiterate, barely literate or unable to read many books for other reasons - and thinking about the comment above regarding them having no clue as to what is actually in the Koran - I shudder to think what will happen wherever the efforts of Arab cultural imperialism succeed.
Arabic is being pushed in Europe right now - I can see it becoming a "second" language there, depriving future generations from literacy.
Great - another arm of stealth jihad dumbing down the masses.

Well, proudkafir, Ahmediyas are not actually peaceful, and their attitude towards non-muslims is hostile. Their appetite for violence is far less than that of sunnis and shias, so their fanaticism is low key.

Being fortunate to be living in an Infidel country like sunny South Africa and not an Islamic hellhole, I was momentarily distracted by a real Earthly houri swaying her hips as she went past my window. Yes, now back to your point. I agree 100%. Look at today's Islamic Egypt, Iraq and Iran as plain examples. Once known as the Cradle of Civilization and today sadly it is the Tomb of Civilization. Since the muslims are after the continent of Europe - I have wondered for quite some time what will happen to all the art, cathedrals, etc in Europe. The muslims have been very destructive of those things, and have even been known to cover up (at least one that I know of) statues in Europe that are nude.
It is a shame that Europe is letting the muslims just run wild - riots still happen over there and just because our news doesn't report it all - they are still happening. And with the increase of muslim areas (dangerous for non-muslims) all I see is a growing threat.
Europeans are a dull people if they haven't learned from history.
Proudkafir, I think they do that because they have nothing else. It is the only way they can easily let out a lot of energy. Many of them get quite a bit of hatred preached at them quite often and they are showing us how they let it out. And islam is pure selfishness - they kill for their own salvation. They don't care how it effects others. And even their own parents and communities want martyrs in their families for their own salvation (the shahid to name them as one of the saved too). It is pure selfishness that is beyond the scope of many.

History tells us that invasion of India by islamists killed the native folk by millions, millions others that didn't want to die, were converted. And all places of worship and importance to locals were destroyed and ,muslim buildings erected on top of these sites! e.g. Taj mahal, Kutub Minar, and millions others...Country was divided into three, india, pakistan and bangladesh.
Does any one know of videos/ books etc.., that provide more detail on this, particularly archelogical perspective? As the Impotent Politicians ( indian use a word like khusra) of this ancient civilisation, have now reduced this once great nation, to nothingness. This includes what some indians may regard as Great heroes, these are the very weaklings that sold india out. Muslims had destroyed ancinet universities like taxila & Nalanda, and burnt the knowledge along with the people. It gave rise to a new religion, which in it's current form we know as sikhism. If it wasn't for sikhs, marathas, etc.., we would have seen an even bigger tragedy in india.
Isn't it amazing that muslims anihilated locals, destroyed their culture, churche's/temples, etc, and built their own on top, yet when this is pointed out to these morons, they are outraged? They are outraged when people question what existed before they built their mosque in jerusalem on top of the temple there. And indeed millions of sites in India, like babri masjid, which was built on the site of hindu temple these swines had destroyed.
Europe needs to learn from this history, before it's too late. How can you have a rational discussion with a lunatic who believes that it's only their religion that is the truth and all other are kaffirs, despite the fact that it's totally against science and obserable facts.
I totally agree with the principles expounded by Mr Sina and others here that Islam is such an evil cult, that if
