'AMERICA TO COLLAPSE SOON': MUHAMMAD 'AKEF

WorldNetDaily reports the following: "’I have complete faith that Islam will invade Europe and America, because Islam has logic and a mission,’ said Muhammad Mahdi Othman 'Akef, who recently took over the Egyptian-based movement after the death of leader Mamoun Al-Hudhaybi.

"In an interview with the website alwihdah.com, translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute, 'Akef said he is convinced ‘the Europeans and the Americans will come into the bosom of Islam out of conviction.’"

The Muslim Brotherhood, which ‘Akef represents, was founded in 1928. It includes thousands of members as well as satellite offices in various Arab countries. In Egypt alone, the organization’s aim is to set up an Islamic state — strictly adhering to the Koran.'Akef called the U.S. a "’Satan that abuses the region, lacking all morality and law.’"

The Muslim leader stated that he does not believe anything the United States President says about establishing democracies worldwide. This is not Mr. Bush’s intent, ‘Akef told media. Instead, the Islamic representative concludes that the Bush administration is putting forth its own malicious propaganda.

"’It is not logical that the U.S. – which destroyed Afghanistan, supports Israel's daily ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people and occupies Iraq and steals its treasures – is acting to spread democracy in the Arab world.’"

With that, ‘Akef prophesies that America will fall shortly. He spoke to an Egyptian weekly publication, saying that it is nothing new to watch the United States’ attempt to control the entire planet for its own greed. However, there is something new, he purports. What is new is that the attempt appears "’with such a grim face, without morals, without principles, without law and without recognition of the need for the U.N. or the Security Council.

"’I expect America to collapse soon. The elements of this collapse in America [already] exist, and Allah is the savior.’"
