If one goes by the Pentagon's recent report on the Fort Hood terrorist attack, the Pentagon's PC putzes wouldn't recognize a Muslim terrorist if one jumped up and bit them on the butt. So in the interest of national security, I have collected some statements made by folks over the years, which might point the Pentagon in the right direction. One lives in hope – the poor dears are awfully slow on the uptake, though.

In my criticism of the European Union, I have been accused of being too positive towards the nation state. It is true that Western civilization isn't exclusively about nation states. The Renaissance took place in the city states of Italy while nation states were non-existent or weak. It is also true that there is a potentially destructive side to nationalism as opposed to defensive patriotism. However, our current democratic system is tied to nation states.

Bat Ye’or lectured on the subject of “Europe and the Ambiguities of Multiculturalism” at the Christian Solidarity International's 29th Annual Meeting, which was held from 2-4 November, 2006, at Paul Gerhardt Church in Munich, Germany. Four days later, I read the text of her speech onDhimmiwatch I noticed that she referred to the late Edward Said,* and his legacy.

Mosques in Europe – Where’s the Reciprocity?

By: Dr. Laina Farhat-Holzman President Obama mentioned reciprocity: mutual respect between Muslim world and America. Not much reciprocity in Europe, where some governments are already putting up white flags as clever Islamists attack their basic institutions.
