Bridges TV: Building or Breaking ‘em?

On May 2, 2003, the New-York based Bridges Network, Inc., announced it would launch Bridges TV, the first Muslim television channel in North America. The expected launch date is around the summer of 2004, but it is also incumbent upon the network’s ability to lasso in ten thousand paying members, so that they can demonstrate public support.

Clash versus Dialogue: Actions Speak Louder Than Words

The need for a dialogue between Muslims and the west has been identified. Progress along this need, however, has often been hampered by a pressing challenge: to convert the sometimes-pronounced and mute-at-other times propensity on both sides for a "clash" into one more conducive for a “dialogue.”
